Michael is simply a magnificent animal. His dam, Semavi Sabir, is from one of the foremost kennels on the West Coast and has a hip rating of excellent. His father, Gerlach Beau, is renown throughout the country and has sired several show winners. Beau has an OFA hip rating of “good.” Michael was one of a litter of 7 and the mellowest of the sibs. He grew up quickly, and has matured at 145 to 150#. He is square and correct. Born on a llama farm, he has been a natural guardian from the very beginning. He was never fearful and never aggressive. He has spoiled us for any other dog. Michael may just think that he’s at least part alpaca, as brushing away all of our discouragements, he eats hay from the mangers right along with our alpacas. Michael lives in the barn and pastures full time. We have never seen a predator. Our adjacent neighbor, who comes daily to give Michael a treat, tells us that he has not seen a stray dog on his property since Michael has come to the neighborhood. His huge basso profundo voice can be heard through the night as he lets the world know that he’s on duty. Yet he unobtrusively attends all of our births and is trusted by first time moms and experienced veterans alike. Michael is attached to his charges. When an animal, visitor or resident, leaves, Michael howls his grief and is the first to welcome them home. We have collected and stored Michael's semen and will continue to do so. He is available for stud to approved bitches. Bitches must be either AKC or UKC registered, have an OFA hip certification of excellent or good, normal elbows and normal thyroid.
