This young female is crimpy, dense and fine. Her conformation is spot on... and does she have attitude!
She came home with a 2nd place ribbon from her show debut at AlpacaPalooza 2013. She stood between two Alpacas de la Patagonia girls... certainly no shame in that! The GORGEOUS female that stood above her went on to win the CC.
Fire Flower's first cria ... a modern dark silver grey male out of Annual's Bea-2 Bomber is A BEAUTY!!!

This young male has an absolutely beautiful fleece. It's so fine, crimpy and long stapled.
Peter Kennedy's comments when he awarded Dusty his ribbon at AOA Nationals "Beautifully fine and soft, well done."
"This is a WOW (underlined 3 times) fleece AND it's grey!!!" Praise from Cheryl Gehly (tough as nails judge, and co-author of The Art and Science of Alpaca Judging) upon awarding Dusty the blue and Color Champion Fleece at CABA Classic... giving him him 77.5 points, including 18 points for Fineness/Handle.
Dusty is registered as a MRG, and as he gets older, this becomes more apparent. We have found no white fibers in his fleece or spots of any color on his body.
However, in the meantime, judges have found him hard to check and he's ended up in indefinite classes, or has lost points due to inconsistency of color.
What IS apparent is his quality.
Here are his first and second histograms:
2017: 11 months old
AFD: 18.9
SD: 4.2
CV: 22.2 %
CF: 98.7 %
Staple: 75.0 mm
2018: 22 months old
AFD: 19.7
SD: 4.6
CV: 22.9 %
CF: 97.6 %
Staple: 80.0 m
He is beautifully conformed, with a flawless bite.
Jude Anderson found him "well developed and well grown with a soft fine hand."
This male is more than worthy of a "go" in the breeding pen.
We believe he would be especially useful in a program with white females with grey backgrounds.
