In the “Language of Flowers,” the orchid symbolizes fertility and wealth. They are exotic and valuable… so we chose the perfect name for our Summer Orchid.

This young female exhibits the retained fineness her sire, Silver Charm, was so noted for. Charm was a well known and respected name in the silver herd sire lexicon. He was the "go to" guy for retained fineness well into his later years. This garnered him many 1st place fleece awards, including AOBA Nationals at the age of 5. Once owned by NeverSummer Alpacas, Carol Collins said that she was sorry that she sold him.

The list of his award winning cria runs on for 5 pages and includes animals from Crescent Moon (Charm was one of their top picks), Never Summer, Xanadu and Aussie Acres. Sadly, Charm died two years ago. Orchid is one of his last daughters, and therefore even more of a prize.

Orchid has bred true, following in Charm's footsteps. Her TB non-fading fiber has also retained its fineness (AFD 20.85 at 11 months old, and 20.05 at 23 months old), brightness and soft hand.

Orchid's dam, a beautiful MSG Danko daughter, was at the foundation of our grey herd. She gave us 5 babies, all ribbon winners (2 pictured at side). She bred easily and milked like a Jersey. Orchid has inherited her beautiful head, upright conformation and has taken after her in the "bred easily" category.

Orchid comes from a family of high achievers, boosting the momentum, we bred her to Emerald Farm’s Rincon Cloud. Rincon Cloud was the 2005 AOBA Nationals Color Champion and has gone on to sire many champions himself.

If the chips fall, her cria may well be silver. But, no matter the color, this baby is bound to be a super star that any breeder would be proud to own.

We are offering Orchid with a rebreeding to our silver multi champion, 4-Sight's Applause (Bisturi son) or our super fine light fawn Orlando Cloud son, Tracker Cloud.

The breeding may be used for Orchid or another healthy female from your herd.

We believe Orchid will prove herself to be a rock solid foundation female just like her dam
