Lily is a synthesis of outstanding and rare genetics. Her sire, SRR’s Khasino, is a standout sire with 11 first place ribbons in fleece/halter. His fleece was awarded the coveted Judge’s Choice award, twice. Khasino’s sire, Vido de Peru, was imported en utero and went on to win fleece awards of his own, including two 1st place spin-offs (at Nationals and AWE) at 6 ˝ years old. Lily’s dam, our own, Harlem Rose, brings Caballero Andante and Bueno genetics to the mix. And, Rose too has brought home silk. She was awarded 2nd place and 4th place spin-off ribbons with the judge commenting on her “very fine/silky fleece.”
Lily’s fiber is soft and dense. It is consistent the length of her body, as evidenced by her SD of 4.5. She reminds us of a soft, plush toy. Her tail is grey tipped, a Khasino signature, and although there are no guarantees, this familial trait has resulted in gray cria.
And is this girl built to birth crias! She has excellent body capacity, and great bone. We expect that she will be a super milker, and a great mom, like her own dam before her.
Gentle spirited, she is easily led, off halter, with an arm across her back.
For her maiden breeding, we chose Aussie Rockford, in hopes of a grey cria. This awesome silver male is no longer in the Northwest, and this cria will be one of his last to be born here.
Lily is the very definition of a production female in the making. With her mix of genetics, she will produce quality crias for many years to come, whether bred to dark or light colored sires.
It’s rare that a breeder will let go of a Khasino daughter, and we know of none that have ever been bred to Rockford. This is a special opportunity. |
