The daughter of an elegant Bolivian dam and an AOBA Nationals blue ribbon dark rose grey Peruvian herdsire, Lacey is a true-blue American beauty.
Born on the Summer Solstice, and robust from the start, at just 7 months old, Lacey weighed 92.5 lbs. She blossomed into an elegant, upright young matron that passes her solid bone and great conformation on to her crias.
Lace is covered head-to-toe in pearlescent, crimpy fiber. At her first shearing she produced 8.5# of fiber, 5# from the blanket alone, and continues to wow us with her fiber production each year (at five years old she is still giving us 4.5# of blanket fiber).
Lacey has had five crias … three females and a two males. All births have been trouble free and each cria robust and vigorous. Her son, Sitka, out of Mr. Golden Boy took first place honors at Alpaca Affair, with the judge exclaiming that his placement was a "no brainer." He has been sold and will be standing stud in Oregon. |
