PatrickPatrick has a Master's Degree in Management from the Wharton School of Business. He still maintains an active practice, mostly working with Native American individuals and tribes, to develop economic opportunities. Patrick manages the farm's canine herd guardians and is the best alpaca mid-wife on the West Coast, maybe in the whole US of A!

MichaelMichael "the Archangel," is our head guardian dog. He has a huge basso profundo voice that sounds like it comes up out of the bowels of the earth. We have never had a predator on the property. Go to Herd Guardian Dogs to learn more about Michael and his girls.April 2010... with very heavy hearts, we had to say good-bye to our sweet boy. He left us too soon...

MadronoMadrono is our farm greeter. We often take him to shows where he kisses all the girls and their babies. He is the prototypical politician and a wonderful walking advertisement for all that is appealing about alpacas.

Lavender and PumpkinLavender and Pumpkin are our four legged rodent patrol. Marit went to the local latte stand one morning and came home with these two as kittens. They are Michael's pets and provide hours of entertainment for the alpacas, who love to chase them. But don't be fooled by the sweet faces, they're stone cold killers!July 2010... sadly, Pumpkin went to join her dog, Michael at the Rainbow Bridge. We're sure the pair are cuddling, as they did here, and taking good care of those that went before.
